Realme 14x Arrives in Malaysia: A Slightly Different Take
Realme has just launched a new version of the Realme 14x in Malaysia, following its earlier debut in India. This Malaysian variant is a tweaked version of the Chinese-exclusive Realme V60 Pro, with a few key differences you should know about.
Realme 14x: What's Changed in Malaysia?
The most notable changes involve the battery and water resistance. The Malaysian Realme 14x packs a 5,000 mAh battery with 15W charging. This is a downgrade from the Indian version, which boasted a larger battery and faster charging. The Malaysian model also has an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance, offering basic protection but not the higher IP68/IP69 rating found on the Indian variant.
Same Core Features: Display, Performance, and Camera
Aside from these changes, the Malaysian Realme 14x retains the core features of its Indian counterpart. You'll find a 6.67-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, providing solid performance for everyday tasks, gaming, and multimedia.
The camera setup remains the same, featuring a 50MP primary camera for capturing detailed photos and an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies. The phone runs on Realme UI 6.0, based on Android 15, offering a clean and user-friendly software experience.
Storage, Colors, and Pricing:
The Malaysian Realme 14x comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, providing ample space for your apps, photos, and videos. It's available in two stylish colors: Peridot Green and Carbon Black.

Priced at MYR 1,099 (approximately $251), the Realme 14x offers a competitive value proposition in the mid-range smartphone market. It will be sold exclusively through the TikTok Shop in Malaysia.
A Solid Mid-Range Option, Despite the Tweaks
While the Malaysian Realme 14x has some differences compared to the Indian version (specifically in battery and water resistance), it still delivers solid performance, a decent camera setup, and an attractive price point. It remains a compelling option for budget-conscious consumers in Malaysia.
